A2 milk is a follow-on milk, which takes over from infant milk, from six to twelve months. This new formula of infant milk meets the needs of weaned children or children under three years old. A2 milk is a cow's milk composed of lactose, and two types of proteins which are whey and casein. There are actually two variants of beta-casein, A1 and A2. In A2 milk, it is therefore A2 beta-casein. Easy to digest, it comes from cows with a particular genetic heritage, which allows them to produce only beta-casein A2-based milk.
A2 milk lactose, like all other cow's milk. It is therefore not specifically intended for children intolerant or allergic to lactose. However, it can be more digestible and more suitable for some of them. The digestion of this milk is easier!
