When you open a box of cereal, there is a bag that protected.
You know, the one that makes an infernal noise and that you always tear open.
If we all know how to recycle the cardboard box, what do we do with the bag?
Here I give you all my ideas for reusing these cereal bags.
Because it would be a shame to throw it away without doing anything about it, when it's super resistant.
As I hate waste, I looked for what I could do with it.
It was my American grandmother who gave me these different ideas for using these packaging.
Here are 22 tips for reusing cereal packaging . Watch:
1. A funnel . Cut one of the bottom corners of the bag to create a small opening. Use this homemade funnel to transfer liquids or small foods without getting it everywhere.
2. A piping bag . In the same way, use the wrapper cut in one corner to make a homemade piping bag. All that remains is to decorate your cakes with icing.
3. Wrapping for sandwiches . Rather than using new foil or cling film, consider this handy recyclable bag.
4. A mouthpiece . Stuff your shoes with these wrappers before storing them. This prevents them from crashing.
5. Padding for parcels . Instead of using polystyrene, cushion your parcels with these cereal wrappers.
6. A freshness sachet. Store your cut aromatic herbs in the fridge by wrapping them in a small bag. No need to use a new one, consider recycling the one from cereal boxes.
7. Protection in the kitchen . When cooking, protect your countertop by cutting cereal wrappers in half.
8. A freezer bag . Pack your food in these little bags before freezing.
9. A bag to pick up dog droppings . Store cereal packaging, it can even be used for dogs!
10. A bag to wrap dirty diapers . Instead of using a brand new bag, recycle cereal packets to throw away diapers and period products.
11. A container for making breadcrumbs . Crush your stale bread to bread your meat or fish. To avoid getting it everywhere, put the bread in these little bags and pass a rolling pin over it. It also works for crushing nuts.
12. A glove to touch food . Protect your hands before handling food by using cereal bags.
13. A flat protector. Cut a sachet in the shape of your dish. Place the cake on top to keep the dish clean. It also works to protect cupboard shelves.
14. Tracing paper . If you don't have tracing paper to make your drawings, the solution is in your cereal box!
15. A storage bag . Wrap your cookies for storage. They will stay soft, especially if the bag is tightly closed. It also works to keep the chips nice and crunchy.
16. A garbage bag . When you peel your vegetables, store them in this small bag before carrying them to the compost bin. You can also use it in a waste paper bin in the office or as a trash can in the car.
17. A protective placemat . If you put a wet saucer on a wooden table, cut a piece of this bag just the right size to protect the table.
18. A pie protector . Cut a bag in half to protect a pie or quiche during transport.
19. A vacuum bag . If you have a vacuum sealer, use the empty cereal bags. It avoids buying new bags.
20. A protection for the dustbin . Line the bottom of the trash can with a half-open bag. It will retain liquids and facilitate cleaning. These bags can also protect the bottom of the vegetable drawer in the fridge.
21. Protection for the cutting board . Before cutting very juicy meat, protect the board. It will be easier to clean afterwards.
22. Storage for used batteries . Store your old batteries before transporting them in the appropriate containers.
Bonus: protection for painting with children.
These bags are very sturdy. They can therefore be reused and washed several times in a row.
