A rainy afternoon to occupy or a present for the mistress kindergarten, for example?
It's time to get started in 3D painting . For that, nothing better than homemade foam paint!
You don't have to be a decorating pro to paint a picture that will retain volume and texture.
All you need is 3 ingredients:shaving foam, glue, food coloring and... let's go!

Kids love it, and parents too! It must be said that this recipe is really simple to make puffy paint with shaving foam. And the result is super cool! Watch:
- shaving foam
- white glue
- food coloring
1. Grab a bowl.
2. Pour a cup of white glue into it.
3. Add a cup of shaving foam.
Note: what matters is to put the same amount of glue and shaving foam.
4. Add a few drops of food coloring. To get darker colors, add more dyes.
5. Mix with a spoon or stir stick.
6. Repeat the operation for each color.
There you go, now you know how to paint with shaving foam :-)
All that's left to do is pick up a brush and let your imagination lead you. Do not hesitate to put a good amount of paint to have a nice volume.
Once your work is finished, let it dry. The colors will end up being a bit darker but the paint will keep its volume and spongy look for a few days.
If you want a thicker texture, you can add a little more glue.
As I wanted to make a rainbow, we made lots of colors and even a bowl of white to make clouds. You can't have a texture that looks more like clouds than that!
All you need to do is add a healthy dose of foam paint to the foil. The texture is awesome, isn't it?
When it dries, the colors become darker.
While the paint was drying, the children wanted to touch it with their fingers. Truth be told, no one can resist this mousse texture!
After we finished our rainbow, we made a balloon bouquet.
I started by making the balloon strings with a black pen. Then we put a generous amount of paint in a circle at the end of each string.
When the paint dried, the texture was incredibly foamy.
My kids love it. They like to mix colors to see what it looks like on paper. For example, the effect on black paper is great.
Next time I think I'll add more glue. I'm curious to see the result of the texture.
Seriously, aren't those clouds amazing? This homemade foam paint is really easy to make and fun to make with the kids.
They loved the texture and really had fun mixing the colors. With only 3 ingredients, and thanks to this very simple, you will be able to occupy your children for hours.
As it is a painting without painting, it is a great activity for children who are in kindergarten.
