With my parents, my brothers and sisters, we do our best to get together for a good meal once a year. And the last time, it was my turn to receive. I really like these big family celebrations.
As we have all already left the family home, my parents have established a small annual tradition around a family celebration, just to keep in touch and to strengthen ties. Therefore, every year we meet for a Sunday lunch. The meeting usually takes place in the first quarter and each of us receives in turn.
And for this year 2014, the meeting took place at my house. But fortunately, as the date had been set for a long time, I had plenty of time to prepare. So, as it was an opportunity for us to meet after the New Year, I decided to mark the event. Yes, once is not custom, I paid particular attention to the decoration of the room, particularly the dining room table.

Otherwise, as far as the decoration of the room is concerned, I simply acquired decorative drapes that I hung in strategic places on the ceiling to obtain a magnificent effect of volume and lightness.

For the chairs, since the seats of my dining table were already quite worn, I camouflaged them aesthetically under covers with bows in the same color as the drapes.
