The film Marry Me will hit theaters on February 10. A romantic comedy that's all about marriage, social media and being famous. Curious about the movie? Then read on quickly and also have a chance to win free tickets for Marry Me, the romantic comedy series.
The romantic comedy Marry Me is a modern love story about celebrity, marriage and social media. Featuring new songs from Jennifer Lopez (Hustlers) and Latin music star Maluma, who makes his film debut in this film.
Singer and superstar Kat Valdez (Jennifer Lopez) and the attractive rising star Bastian (Maluma) are the sexiest celebrity couple in the world. As their hit song “Marry Me” continues to climb the charts, they are about to get married at a concert in front of their fans that will also be livestreamed.
Charlie Gilbert (Owen Wilson) is a divorced math teacher who is dragged to this concert by his daughter Lou (Chloe Coleman, Big Little Lies) and his best friend (Sarah Silverman).
When Kat finds out just seconds before the ceremony that Bastian has been cheating on her assistant, she threatens to collapse on stage and her wafer-thin life falls apart in front of millions of fans. But then she makes eye contact with someone in the audience.
If what you're familiar with disappoints you, then perhaps the unknown is the answer, so Kat makes the impulsive decision to marry Charlie. What begins as an ill-considered and spontaneous reaction turns into an unexpected, yet complicated romance.
Is it possible for two people from completely different worlds to find a place where they both feel at home?
Marry Me is directed by Kat Coiro (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Dead to Me) from a screenplay by John Rogers (The Librarians), Tami Sagher (30 Rock) and Harper Dill (The Mick) and is based on the graphic novel by Bobby Crosby. The film is produced by Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas (Hustlers, Maid in Manhattan), Jennifer Lopez, Benny Medina (Hustlers, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air), and John Rogers. Executive producers include Alex Brown, Willie Mercer, Pamela Thur and J.B. Roberts.
