“Not like the others” is a children's book by Ella Coalman and Clothide Palomino, published by Récréalire. With Halloween approaching, the book was very much appreciated by our 2 toddlers (3 and 6 years old). As much for the story as for the illustrations.
Contents 1 A book to read to feel the right to be whoever you want 2 Our opinion on the bookOn the cover of the book, we can read a summary:
This sentence sums up the spirit of the book, and the message that the authors convey indirectly, through the characters who are witches. Without revealing the story of the book, the story is simple and gripping, the children remained captivated by the unfolding of the adventures of these two witches, one of whom wants to be loved by the children. Not easy when you're a dirty and not very pretty witch. But we can always act in the right direction to achieve our dreams 😉
A book to read, also to use as a support for discussion and questioning for children!
Small bonus, there is also a game:you have to find on each double page the image of a frog (toad?). A plus always fun for the youngest.
And the book is printed in France.
So, do we recommend? Yes!
