It is true that living in a nice apartment in a city center has many advantages. Proximity to shopping centers, as well as schools and medical establishments. The only drawback is that there are not many green spaces, or even non-existent. Hence the family picnics in the woods.
Too polluted, the air of the big city is not suitable for my children. This is particularly the case of the last one who never manages to get rid of his stuffy nose. And unfortunately, because of my work, but especially the schooling of the children, I have no choice but to live for a few more years in an urban environment.
Thus, to get away from it all and to change us a little from our usual environment, I regularly schedule picnics and outings in nature. There's nothing like enjoying the fresh air and recharging your batteries away from the environmental and noise pollution of the city.
Besides, I noticed that when we returned from our escapades, my little boy's nose decongested by a miracle. But his cold comes back even more when the weather does not allow us to go out in the forest. As a result, as soon as good weather looms on the horizon, I regularly take my children out for picnics whenever the opportunity arises.
Fortunately, there is no shortage of wooded areas in our region. Otherwise, with the aim of diversifying our activities, I would also have liked to organize outings in the mountains or by the sea. Regrettably, these are getaways that we cannot do in a single day. The woods therefore suit us perfectly and I really like places that border a body of water.
However, if these outings are so successful with my children, it is because I attach particular care to the preparations. My goal is for everyone to have a great time enjoying nature as much as possible. For this I found a little trick. Already to make our lives easier, I only take disposable accessories:crockery, cutlery, cups and glasses. Otherwise, I only use disposable tablecloths and the same goes for napkins. So, once the meal is over, I just have to pick up the used items and put them in a garbage bag to throw them away when I get home.
