The use of the smartphone has become an indispensable part of our family. I even store my savings stamps digitally in the app. You can think what you want about it, but with an almost teenager and an adolescent in the house, the mobile phone and certainly the games apps have become part of our life. And yes, I try to limit the time on the phone for the kids sometimes. But I also notice that they download apps to play games that sometimes make sense. Number 1 is my absolute favorite!

They play more apps than the ones I've listed below, but this is their 'top' favorites list of gaming apps right now.
A 'game' that Luc likes to play on his smartphone is Bandpass. It's not really a game. It is a great app to make your own music. He had recently designed a lovely lounge tune that many a DJ can still suck on 😉 . As far as I'm concerned, one of the games apps that should definitely stay. Stimulates creativity!

Luc and Lotte both play these. Opening safes. What I've seen of it I don't think it's very spectacular, haha. But it does require some insight to eventually open all the safes. A kind of occupational therapy with a small insightful edge.

One of the fun games apps for when boredom really hits. This app has no end! The goal is to cross the road and avoid all kinds of obstacles such as cars and trains for example. The road only turns out to be a kind of endless so you have to have nerves of steel to play this game. They play this regularly, but always for a short time because it requires too much concentration without you 'easily' passing a level.

It's one big pinball machine, Sling Kong. Now all games apps are addictive, but Sling Kong is also known for it I believe. You can save all kinds of cute animals and you can even take a selfie to make your own Sling Kong. Too funny, of course, together with all the accessories with which you can pimp the Kong.
When I think back to my own pinball experiences from the past, I understand this addiction a bit.

The past winter sports proved once again that these games apps are also a godsend for parents. Even though I had hoped for a winter sport without a skiing accident, a pity but unfortunately. This time Luc fell so hard that he was left with a ski thumb. Doesn't seem all that serious, and will be fine, but skiing was over for him after day 1. And he may be a teenager, I really don't leave him alone all day, even if he would have a great time with his smartphone and all the games and videos. (Thank God its Sim only subscription from Simyo at the moment!).
During this winter sport Frank went skiing with Lotte and after the first day I worked together with Luc in the morning while he played games with apps on his phone. In the afternoon we always went for a long walk together.
By the way, Simyo comes out on top of all panel members at the Consumers' Association. Should the phone use of your children be restricted by all games apps? Check out the options within prepaid comparison. You can then determine in advance what you will spend on the internet with fixed rates.
