With a teenager who is going to take final exams this year and a neat teenager who is busy with all her stuff, we don't have that much back to school stress for the first time this year. Lotte has already fully immersed herself in her school supplies - as befits a real teenage girl. In fact… the first day of the holiday was a shopping day for her, where the focus was on buying school supplies. All purchases for the next school year have already been made. Who recognizes this?

Let me first say that I am not as organized as you might expect. In my teenage years I was. My girl doesn't like strangers… buying school supplies on the first day of vacation. I also loved having all my back to school stuff at home. Preferably as soon as possible so that I had the whole holiday time to pimp things up.
Today, however, this is all different. By the time the summer holidays kick in, we're all ready to recharge. In addition, a lot of things have to be completed within my company before we can go on holiday. Or are we, like this year, in the middle of a move. I'm really not busy buying school supplies for the new school year.
Because Lotte was not very busy with her school supplies in recent years, I was always behind the times when buying them. When the schools started again, there was always a lot to buy. Fortunately, madam didn't need an agenda yet, because they were all sold out at that time. A nice notebook, a pen and a pencil case was still doable.
However, what I always forget - and Lotte too - is the back to school stuff in the sense of sneakers and clothing. Do you have that too?
Somehow, our list of school supplies never includes checking gym shoes and sportswear. Does it all still fit? Even though they may say at the end of the previous school year that the shoes are a bit on the small side, as soon as the holidays start, they no longer think about it. And so they are always on the sports field with bent toes for the first few weeks. Too bad right? But no more, with the back to school lists below.
For everyone who has to buy school supplies for the new school year and never knows exactly what to buy, I have put together a list. School stuff that you should not forget. Stuff that you should always check and stuff that sometimes has to be purchased new.
Note:Bridge pipits (and older) grow faster and are less tidy (at least the boys). As a result, items need to be replaced sooner 😉 .
Do you have any additions to these lists to buy school supplies? Let me know!
