It's timeless, pimping your school supplies! I've done it extensively before, and I just see time repeating itself. Lotte likes nothing more than to make all her school supplies her own by sticking everything on it and writing it down. And then of course it doesn't just stay with the school agenda that is pimped from A to Z, but her other school supplies also have to be replaced. And I? I just really enjoy it and go looking for inspiration with her.

Back to school. It is that time again. Almost all children are now back at school, the last group will start next week. Maybe you have already bought a few things, or maybe you just need to go shopping last minute. In the latter case, I would like to point out the Hema back to school campaign.
They always have the best school supplies for not too much money. At the moment there are cool collections in a jungle theme, with tiger print or a very humorous variant of Kalvijn. Each one is equally enjoyable and because of all the differences there is undoubtedly something for you.
The best thing, of course, is to make your school supplies completely unique. And you can do that in many different ways. For example, buy your basic items at Hema and then pimp your school supplies. You can get the basic variant with or without a print, you have to know that for yourself. In both cases you can create your own unique school supplies and I would be happy to give you some inspiration.
Lotte has been busy pimping her school folder to get it to match the rest of her school supplies. She had bought a basic green folder at Hema. This one had to be madam's 24 rings, because that's what school had said, and we couldn't find any other nice ones. Now she has printed out all the lemons herself. She then cut it out very precisely and pasted it on her folder.
As icing on the cake I printed a sticker with vinyl with the cricut machine that glued them in the middle. The result? A very colorful folder!
The nice thing is, of course, that such a ring binder is often available in different colors, but not with all kinds of prints. In this way you have made your own unique school folder. The text has now become so popular with her friends that I can also work with Cricut for their folders.
I looked further and found many more great ideas to pimtepn stuff for school. Including some fun ways to cover your books.
Just buy simple cover paper and pimp your own books with a super cool result. You can use old cards that are no longer used as cover paper and what do you think of the brown cover paper (we also used a lot here), but with nice prints cut from magazines. Super cool idea, right?
In a similar way, you can also pimp notepads and other school supplies if you want.
Get started with handlettering or scrapping your notebooks for school. Or on your files, notepads or whatever. There is one thing to keep in mind when handlettering. Choose a notebook or order with a cover that is not too smooth.
Especially these school supplies with a kraft cover are very suitable for this.
Are you not very good at hand lettering, for example, or do you find it all a bit too exciting or 'too much'? Then you just use washi tape to pimp your school supplies?!
With these beautiful tapes, which are available in all colors and prints, you can pimp your school supplies in no time. You can quickly give it your own unique twist without having to invest a lot of time and effort.
Your school supplies also include a calculator that you can pimp. How about the examples above, I think the one with the pink flamingo is great. For example, you can just use paint for pimping, but it also goes very well with nail polish. Also here you can use washi tape for a less lasting effect, or cool stickers.
In addition to your normal school supplies, you can also pimp your pencil case, of course. I must say that there are already very nice pencil cases to be found. Lotte also has the lemon variant of the Hema here, which is actually very nice in itself. But with some studs or rhinestones you can also turn a pencil case into a great item for your secondary school bag. In this case, it is useful to opt for a fabric pencil case that you pimp. Below you can see, for example, how Jill pimps a jeans case. Very funny.
