For Mams at Work I got to review the new Bugaboo Ant. As a mommy to be, this is of course completely cool. Especially because the Bugaboo Ant is completely made for the city and I live in the middle of beautiful Amsterdam. When putting together the baby set, one thing was important to me:a safe buggy, but also a buggy that is easy to take with you on a trip because I also plan to continue my travels with the little one. The Bugaboo Ant has a handy size. It is a sturdy and compact buggy, which is very easy to use. During the explanation in the special Bugaboo store it was immediately clear to me that it is an ideal buggy for the city. It is easy to maneuver between the vowels along the Amsterdam canals, as the review of my Bugaboo Ant shows. The buggy has small wheels, making it very manoeuvrable. I can also easily use it when I travel by public transport and with the parking fees in the city I do that regularly. The buggy does not take up much space and that is very pleasant for other travelers.
If your child wants to look straight ahead, you can place him or her in the front or rear seat position. But if your child would like to take a nap, you also have the lazy relax position. You can easily fold the Ant back with the push handle. This can be done in one hand movement, which is ideal. The backrest is also easily adjustable and grows with the age of the little one. This way your baby can relax - together with mom - if you take him to a sunny terrace in the summer.
Or if I'm going away by boat right away, it's also convenient to transport it easily with it. This way I can let my child look at me when he or she sleeps or show the gardens, parks and other faces when he or she is awake. Can be exchanged in a jiffy. At the bottom is a small luggage basket, which is easily accessible, even when the buggy is folded. It's not a big shopping basket so if you want to do the weekly shopping, it might be better to go by car. But great for small errands.
It may sound a bit “stupid”, but style is also important to me. I do want to be satisfied with the buggy I walk with (phew) and the model of the Bugaboo Ant suits my style, as witnessed by this review. I think the look and feel of a buggy is an important feature when choosing a buggy. I personally think the base looks very sleek and timeless and this also fits my personal preferences. No big bulky and cumbersome buggy where you can hardly make room for other people.
The Bugaboo Ant is actually quite complete and you can choose accessories that are good for all/special circumstances. First of all, there is a special rain hood so that my baby is well protected when it rains. Let mom get wet 😉 . Bugaboo also has something special for the sun! Of course you also want to protect your child from the sun and for that you need the special sun hood † This model includes an extra large lens hood with a special viewing window for premium fabrics. The solution to simply keep your child out of the sun without having to keep rubbing him or her.
Very nice about the Bugaboo Ant is the special bag that you hang on the push handle , that becomes apparent during testing. I often take a small bag with my main means of payment, mobile phone and some make-up, but you can easily store this in the bag on the push handle. This is also completely tailor-made for the Bugaboo. Handy, because this way I can keep everything together and I no longer have to take a separate bag with me.
You can also simply fold the buggy in a few steps. Handy if you don't like the heavy lifting! Finally, you also have a handy protective cover , which you can use when you travel and can be taken with you in hand luggage on, for example, the plane. Thanks to the special cover, the buggy is extra well protected. You can fold it, as it were, like a trolley, so that the Bugaboo Ant fits in the hand luggage of the plane.
I find the Bugaboo Ant really ideal for the city, where I live and where I walk most of the time. I think the design is very beautiful and classically stylish. I dare to come up with this. The compact size ensures that it is fast and manoeuvrable, which is ideal for walking! The matching accessories really complete this model:sun cover, special bag for the push handle, the rain cover and the cover for quick and safe storage of the buggy.
For the purposes I use the buggy for, walking in the city and traveling with, this model is a hit! I assume that I will enjoy this buggy for a long time and it is ideal for all conditions, except if you are really going to walk in a forest with different surfaces or on the beach. In that case, it is better to go for another stroller.
