Stay at home. The 'mandatory' stay at home means that people wonder what they can do at home. Many of us are extra busy at the moment (think of working at home, but also guiding your children with their homework), but we would also like to do other fun things at home to get through this period together. Now I wrote a blog before about what you can do when you are bored, but there is of course much more fun to come up with. Together with Colorland, we have listed a number of fun home activities for you in this #stay home campaign.

With the fun things to do at home below, you will see that staying at home is not that bad at all.
Now is the time to cook together. Normally you are not at home and you may not have much time to make dishes that have to stew for several hours (unless you have a slow cooker, of course). Now you can! Involve your children in cutting and cooking the meal so that they are also temporarily busy with something else. Of course you now choose dishes that you would never prepare otherwise. This way you teach your children to cook and taste something different. Bet they like it when they cook with it themselves? Find more inspiration for fun things to do at home below.
You have a picnic outside. Usually that is. Because how nice is it to move the picnic inside during this time? Throw a nice rug on the floor (even more fun:add that tipi tent) and make it cozy with fun things. You can of course eat your lunch on a picnic, but also the food you have cooked together. You will have a cozy atmosphere in your home in no time and that is what it is all about.
Do you still have them, those old slides from the past? Two years ago we had such a slide evening with my father. In a word:fantastic! What great memories you can reminisce with your whole family. Truly one of the best things to do while you are at home. Do you have no slides but a lot of digital photos? Then this is a great moment to get your teeth into making an online photo album via Colorland, for example. Bet that your children will also be happy to help you with this?
In a lost hour in between you can go tinkering. From bird crafts to cardboard crafts and summer crafts, we've written a lot of blogs about it if you want some more inspiration.
For our family, a karaoke can actually be higher on the list. Frank and Lotte recorded the song 'Sweet Child of Mine' together this week. Frank plays the piano and guitar and Lotte sings. So much fun to do and to listen to!
Our children find this hilarious to do, a food challenge. Try to make sure that this does not lead to food waste, but see it as an opportunity to let them taste some more flavors. Let them use fruit, but also, for example, herbs and sauces (on a spoon).
Do you have time to do fun things at home, or would you like to learn something nothing? Now is the time to start doing that. Especially because there are plenty of providers where you can currently take courses for free. You can focus on programming or wordpress, for example, but you can also learn to draw, for example.
We noticed that Smartgames has a free membership for the next 6 months. When it comes to fun things to do at home, this definitely falls into that category. You get free access to all their logical thinking games and educational assignments. Become a member with the whole family and keep your scores to make it a mutual competition, super fun right?
Half of the Netherlands is currently engaged in making puzzles and I understand them. Normally we always do this during the Christmas holidays, but this period is also ideal for this. For example, these jigsaw puzzles for children are great fun.
Old-fashioned shuffleboard. We used to like that too, so why not take that shuffleboard out of the dust and make it a fun game with your kids? Make it a boys against the girls game or puders against the kids. Whatever, play with each other and enjoy each other!
