They played the rock'n'roll card thoroughly and thereby sent the message that a marriage without fuss, frills or pressure is always a good idea. Lily Allen and David Harbor -after obtaining a marriage license- have indeed pronounced their vows during an intimate ceremony in the chapel of Graceland in Las Vegas this Monday, December 9.
And as is tradition in Sin City in this city specializing in express marriages, an Elvis lookalike took the microphone. A ceremony that seems to have taken place in a small committee, with the daughters of Lily Allen, Ethel and Marnie, as bridesmaids. Respectively aged 8 and 7, the latter were born from the English star's first marriage to Sam Cooper, from whom she separated in 2016 after seven years of relationship. They finalized their divorce in 2018.
David Harbour, 45, had never been married. He was briefly engaged to actress Maya Thayer (Will &Grace and30 Rock ), then was in a relationship with actresses Alison Sudol (Fantastic Beasts ) and Julia Styles (Revenge in the Skin ).
To inform of the happy event David Harbor published some photos of the day including one where he poses with the King, carrying his wife in his arms, in front of the chapel. In a caption, he wrote:"In a ceremony performed by the King himself, the people's princess was married to his devoted, low-born but lovable credit card holder in a magnificent ceremony lit by ashen skies thanks to a state on fire a few miles away in the midst of a global pandemic. Refreshments were served at a small reception that followed. »
On a second snapshot, we can see a table filled with burgers and fries as well as the daughters of the singer who were able to participate in the wedding. Even if the simplicity quoted throughout this day, Lily Allen still wanted to mark the occasion by wearing a dress signed Dior all the same around 4,300 dollars.
