Festive meal at Vapiano Disney Village

We had already written an article on the Vapiano restaurant near Disney Village last year. It was a pleasant discovery for us, because we had appreciated the modern and natural setting, and we had been convinced by the “veggie” menu that we had tested for the occasion.

We returned to Vapiano last Sunday to test the festive meal that was on the menu from November 6 to January 14.

Staff more welcoming, and more smiling. We were asked this one if we know the concept of VAPIANO and we were treated to a little reminder of the organization by universe of dishes etc

The upstairs room

When we first came to this restaurant, we stayed in the downstairs room which gives a view of the restaurant part (the dishes are cooked in front of you on themed “stands”). This time, we wanted to take advantage of the calm and the setting of the first floor. Less noisy, no draughts, a play area for children, a gigantic green wall and an atmosphere that was always Zen, especially since the place was not too busy. Ideal for enjoying a family lunch. The only logistical but logical drawback is that you have to move a little less to pick up your dishes.

The Christmas menu

Here is a photo of the menu offered for the holidays (and even a little beyond the holidays given the dates):

We are clearly in the theme, with chestnut soup as a starter, truffle risotto and chestnut mousse for dessert. Appetizing on paper!

Only regret, while the main menu card systematically specifies Vegan / lactose-free / gluten-free dishes, the Christmas menu does not specify anything, the small pictograms being absent.

We finally made a mixed selection of dishes (on the menu and off the menu):

Entries:

• 2 Castagne soups (one large and one small), served with croutons and parmesan shavings (Christmas menu)

Main courses:

• A chicken BBQ pizza for our son (children's menu)

• Linguine scallops for the mum (Christmas menu)

• An XXX salad for dad (off the menu)

Desserts and coffees:

• A slice of homemade chocolate cake for our son
• 2 long coffees (for parents)

The Christmas menu was quite attractive on the menu. We thoroughly enjoyed the dishes:

• the cup of chestnuts was delicious, well balanced so as not to be cloying (even in large format). Seasonal, satiating and successful. A beautiful entry.
• The BBQ chicken pizza:the pizza dough is very good, made on site. On the other hand, our son did not appreciate it too much (but it is linked to the choice and not to the product itself). Fortunately, it is possible to leave with a doggy bag so as not to throw anything away (and so as not to have to cook in the evening 😉
• The pasta dish (Linguine with scallops) was also very good. Very hearty, also served with parmesan, difficult to finish the dish. We also took him in a doggy bag.
• POLLO LIMONE salad:a beautiful salad with grilled pine nuts, dried tomatoes (tasty), fresh tomatoes and chicken. A classic in the composition, a success thanks to the lemon vinaigrette which enhances the taste of this salad (dish without lactose or gluten).
• Chocolate cake:good in taste but a cake that crumbles a little too much. Difficult to eat cleanly for a toddler
• Coffees:rather strong, but rather good! Served alone without chocolate or cookie.
