Flashback:the day when…

…I found out I was pregnant

Regularly, I remind the children – usually after a big argument, um – that I don't look like that, by yelling at them (Blaise benevolence where are you hiding), but I love them very much, and have done so since that I knew they were in my belly.

Regularly, I must then, like toddlers that they are no longer – tell THEIR story again and again.

Each time, they listen to it, again and again, with sparkling eyes. Unless it's my eyesight blurred by tears playing tricks on me? Of course not…

Almost 13 years ago. It was early May 2004. We were supposed to go visit Belle Maman (joy happiness) (oh no it’s okay eh). The day before I had been to the lab downstairs, I had a little doubt if you know what I mean. A small doubt of 2/3 days no more. The weather was nice, I remember that I was happy. As if I already knew. The Man was driving, like a knight serving (well, I was lazy). The lab told me to call the next day at the end of the morning to find out the result. When I arrived in the parking lot in front of his mother's house, I called. I give my name, my first name. I wait a few seconds and I hear, the result is POSITIVE.

I looked at the Man, I said POSITIVE. We screamed POSITIVE!! And then we went to Belle Maman, as if nothing had happened. Well almost. We kept looking at each other like two kids who had screwed up, we were chuckling "positive" as soon as we could. Not for a single second did I ask myself questions about this first pregnancy. Not for a single second did I think that maybe we had to wait a bit to be so happy. Luck was on our side, everything went well. The first was the good one. She is now 12 years old by the way and will soon pass me. Flashback:the day when…

A little over 10 years ago, it was November. This time we experienced a little more expectation. OULALALA, like 4 or 5 months, I don't really know. Yes, I'm lucky, I know. The chip was on its 2 years, we wanted a little second. The pee test did not seem clear to me at first. Is it really a line or not there in the middle? Hesitating between changing the toilet bulb or making an appointment with my ophthalmologist, I finally asked the Man what he thought, without any further formality, I went out to stick my stick under his nose. Poor guy didn't even know I had gone looking for a story like this. I tell him straight out:"say, it's a line there or not"... I see him taken aback saying to me "ba yes..." It was then that he was able to doubt my psychiatric condition, but since then he understood what that meant, he did nothing about it. I had to tell him, ah, but that's great then. Well yes. Welcome to P'tit! (very very small there suddenly eh)

Flashback:the day when…

Why this post? Because a few days ago, Agnès from the pretty blog Quatre Enfants asked me to take part in a little writing meeting between blogger moms.

I said yes right away, I love this type of challenge, with a subject and an imposed publication date. You can discover the other participants here Agnès:Aurélie and Julia.

Don't hesitate, if you want me to talk about a particular subject, you tell me!?
