Making your child independent is one of the goals of education.
This is also what kindergarten teachers aim for.
My background as a teacher (and as a mom!) means that I can give you some tips to help you.
You can very well, as a parent, surround your child with lots of love and at the same time push him towards greater autonomy.
It is even the role of the parents.
For that, I tested some easy ways to put in place on a daily basis.

So that your loulou can dress himself, start by training him on days when there is no school. He can then take all his time to put on his underpants, socks, trousers and sweater.
But he will do it even more easily if you buy him clothes that close with Velcro, snaps or zips!
In kindergarten, tidying up is part of the educational activities. At home, the requirements are often less.
However, you can make things easier with a fun and simple little trick:provide plastic crates for his toys, but also for his T-shirts, socks, hats.
Stick labels with the image of the object to be stored there. In addition to being able to put everything away on her own, Loulou also learns logic and visual discrimination, which are two essential tools for learning to read!
Being more independent also means for Loulou knowing if there is school today, if he is going to pottery, if it is the day of the dentist:finding his bearings in time allows him to imagine the future and to make plans.
Make or buy a calendar where he can follow the progress of the day or the week, with school activities and days off, represented by symbols that can be moved.
He will love to move his labels according to his various occupations.
Communicating promotes autonomy, that's obvious! Knowing how to discuss, ask questions, respond, express one's desires or refusals, all of this is essential.
To enrich his vocabulary and expression in general, read him stories, give him information of all kinds, comment on the activities you do together, encourage dialogue, play with words.
